Report Bzzz! Have you heard the bees buzzing? No, because they're all disappearing, so I will give you the buzz about them.
Most of the beekeepers have lost some of their bees. Unless someone or something stops it soon, the unknown killer that is wiping out many of the stats honeybees could have a horrible, effect. The suspects are a parasite, an unknown virus, some kind of experiment with some kind of bacteria, pesticides, or wether. An experiment with some of the horrified hives makes pesticides seem less likely.
Scientist think that this could be possibly noncureable or possibly have acure.

Report Have you ever heard of Fairbanks, Alaska? Well if you did this is the history of Fairbanks. The best part is Fairbanks is the Golden Heart City. A lot of tourists come to here and explore the wonders of Alaska. Fairbanks was found by a two guys name Felix Pedro and Tom Gilmore on a ship from Italy. Fairbanks was made in the 1900s and Felix Pedro and Tom Gilmore was prospecting for gold and they found gold here in Alaska.
The best thing to know is that Fairbanks was named after a guy named Charles W. Fairbanks. Alaska was bought from the Russians in the 1800s and it became the 49th state in the United States.

Report Bzzz... Do you hear honeybees? I don't because many bees did a dissapearing act from their hives.
Honeybees are hard working incects. They help flowers and plants grow and repopulate. Bees move pollen from an anther to another flowers stigma. An anther is a part of the flower that holds pollen. A stigma is the big middle section of a flower that needs pollen to produce more seeds and fruit. This prosess is important because if there aren't enough bees crops could be in danger.
What's happening is that the honeybees are wiping out from an unknown reason. Scientists think it could be a disease or possibly weather, but no one knows.

Report Bzzzz! Have you herd the buzz about bees? Bees are disappearing from the world. If there are no bees there is no honey for people. If the bees die who will get the pollen from the flower? People are too big to get the pollen. Scientists say that some kind of disease, unknown virus, or some kind of bacteria, or pesticides or parasite could be the problem. If the bees die who is going to make plants grow?

Report Have you ever wanted to ride on a dolphin? Well how about a WHALE! I'm going to tell you about the bowhead whales.
Did you know that bowhead whale's skin is dark black or gray but the belly is lighter? Or that their eyes are near their mouth?
What I think is cool about bowhead whales is their blow hole shoots out water 19 to 20 ft. tall, and that the blubber has oil, and the oil is used to make fire. What keeps them warm is the blubber and it is 16 to 20 inces thick.
So now that I have told you about the oil and the blubber I'll tell you about the bones. Eskimos used the big bones for construction, and the rest of the whale for stuff like food, and fuel.

Report Today we learnd about bees.
Did you know that the hair on the bees legs carries the pollen to another flower?
If there is no bees there can't be flowers because the bees bring the pollen to another flower. Scientists say that there may be a disease going on so they are dieing. And some are going to leave so they don't die.
Did you know that if you stuck every person on earth on a scale they wouldn't weigh as much as all the bees on earth?
California has about 20 millon bees all around them. And we don't have a lot in Alaska. We about 450 bees. And North Dakota has about 26 millon pounds of bees.

Report Bzzz! Have you heard the beeswax about bees? Honeybees are buzz buzz buzzing away from hives.
Bees are disappearing and that is bad because if they disappear, food we eat won't grow, and and animals we eat will die.
Scientists think it could be from a disease, parasites, virus, bacteria, or pesticides.
I think that bees are very important and we need them. Bees carry pollen, some pollen drops on a stigma of a flower. When that happens seeds fall and develope new plants. If plants don't grow what will we eat? Some animals eat grass. What if they have nothing to eat?
That is why be

Report Did you know bees are buzzing off and disapearing? Scentists think an unknown virus is making them disappear, or pesitides. I think the bees are disappearing because of pollution. Here's some facts and some opinions about what could happen if we didn't have honey bees.
Did you know that their fuzzy back and legs are used to gather pollen? The part that provides the pollen for the bee is the anther. They pollinate by bringing pollen from another flower, and move it to the stigma of the other flower. Pollination makes seeds be made.
Their bees wax makes candles and crayons, and only female bees have a stinger. Worker bees only sting once, then they die. 70,000 can live in one hive.

Report Bowhead whales are interesting to learn about. I'm having a fun time learning about them. I've learned a lot about them. This is one of the best subjects to me, and this is what I have to say about them.
The whale is the biggest animal in the sea that I know of. They usually eat krill. They're so big that it looks like it can eat a salmon! They can last underwater 20 minutes to an hour! That's a long time. Although they breathe air. They travel in pods and not by themselves. And they communicate by sound. And when they are caught every piece is used. Their blubber is 10 inches thick! It keeps them warm in the cold sea. They blow water 16-20 feet!

Report Bow-head whales are very fascinating because the way they live, and it would be so fun to be able to understand what the whales are saying I think the whales make sounds that you can hear from quite a distance. People should stop hurting them. People are making less whales. Whales are good sea animals.
They can stay under water for 20 min. That is a good amount off time. Oh, and they have to come up for air and when they do they have a hole on top of its head that is called a blowhole. They squirt water out because that is how they breath. And the whales eat krill. They are small but and tasty for them.
