A girl named Miaka, she has to go to Jonan high school to make her mom happy. In school she would always day dream, because she was always sleepy, and studied for her exams at night, so her mom would be proud of her, but her mom didn't know that.

One day they went to study in the library. Miaka dropped her pencil. But it got in a restricted area. But they still went in. When they went they looked at some of the books. One book was called The Universe of the Four Gods. They opened it then and started to read it. Then a flash of bright red light showed, then Miaka and Yui got sucked into the book.

Miaka thought it was a dream. Then Miaka hit Yui on the head and said if it hurt. "Of course that hurt Miaka!"

"Then we must be in a dream that hurts then."

Then these two men showed up and tried to kidnap them. But a man with a character on his forehead showed up. He saved the girls. Then he asked if they had any money. But they didn't. They spent all their money on a burger.

Then he just zoomed off and left them. Then somehow they got back to their world. Then a teacher was calling and saying if anybody was in the restricted part of the library.

Then Yui and Miaka left and said, "Sorry." Then Miaka and Yui went back home. Then Miaka wrote something in her diary about her visit to the other world she has been to. Then she wrote something about that man she met in that world. Then Miaka went back to school, with her friend Yui.

When she came back home, her mom was mad at her because she wrote something about a man. Miaka was upset that her mom read her Diary. Then Miaka and her mom argued about her grades. When Miaka talked back to her mom, she got slapped. Then she cried and ran away. When she stopped running she was at the library.

She then was thinking about that man, then she went to the restricted part of the library and went in it again. She was thinking what would happen if she stayed in the other world, she wouldn't have to do the exams, and she wouldn't see her mom again,and if she wanted she could get out of the book.

This time when she got in the book she ended up in a big crowd. She tried looking for the man that saved her friend and her. Then Miaka ends up in danger. She ends up in a alley with a gang of men who try to strangle her. But then the man that saved her last time showed up and saved her again. Then Miaka pleads to stay with him (Tamahome). But he says she has to owe him to gems on the emperor's carriage. Then Miaka get into even more trouble. "Now I have to owe you 3 gems!" Then Tamahome and Miaka get thrown in the dungeon.

They try to escape. Then Miaka gets a strip of gum and blows a bubble. Then the guard gets freaked out and runs away. Then Tamahome and Miaka get out of the dungeon. Miaka gets lost, and then she sees a man that looks like a girl. He helps her. His name was Hoto- Hori. Miaka tells him that she is from another world. Miaka was thinking that the man thought she was crazy. But he beleived her still. But then Miaka sees Tamahome, and shows up right in front of the guards holding him.

Then the emperor showed up, and it was the Man that looked like a girl. Hoto-Hori thought she was the lady of the legends. So she became the preistess of Suzuka, so she had to gather all the seven celestial warriors of Suzuka, then they would summon the phoenix god (suzuka), then she or he would get three wishes. Just then when they were talking, Miaka heard a voice, it was her mother and a man. Then the man started to close the book, Miaka pleaded not to close the book, but the man didn't hear her. Hoto-Hori said he was one of the celestial warriors, also Tamahome.

Then they find Nuriko one of the celestial warriors, and this time it was a girl, when they were starting to find the other celestial warriors. Miaka tried to get along with Nuriko.

Then one night Nuriko told Miaka says to get her earring because she wasn't allowed to leave palace grounds. When she went into the pond she almost drowned. Then Yui in the other world had water and seaweed all over her uniform, and felt that she started choking. Luckily Miaka didn't drown, and Yui didn't die. Then Nuriko told Tamahome that Miaka was at the pond. Then all of a sudden Miaka showed up.

"I couldn't find you earring so I found a rock."

Then Nuriko slapped her. Then Miaka slapped her back and said "Tag your it." Then Nuriko started to cry. The next day Miaka got sick. They thought it was because she stayed away from home for too long. So they decided that they would go to a mountain (forget the name of it) and bring her to a lady who would bring her back home.

On their way Nuriko tells Miaka there is a hot spring that would make her feel a little better. Then Miaka gave her a hug. Then part of her dress falls down. But Nuriko really wasn't a woman. She was a man.

But Miaka keeps her secret. While going up the hill a fog shows up. Then Miaka smells food and tries to follow it. Then she ends up in a cave and she sees another girl that looks just like her.

She says that she is Miaka, just the opposite. Then she gets out of the cave. Miaka trys to get out after eating the food. The lady that was going to bring her home (Tai-Yi-Jun) was testing Miaka. Miaka was actually in a mirror. Then the other Miaka settles for liking Hoto-Hori then Tamahome, because she thought he was mean.

Then the other Miaka was acting weird to Tamahome and Hoto-Hori, and told Nuriko's secret. "Hey I thought I was the only one to be pretty." said Hoto-Hori. Then Hoto- Hori was thinking that the Miaka right her really isn't Miaka, so he makes a plan in his head. He catches the oppistie of Miaka's hands, then Tamahome asks where is Miaka. Miaka in the mirror tries breaking the mirror but it wouldn't break.

Then she gets an idea. She breaks one of the plates that she ate from in the mirror and stabs herself. Then the opposite of Miaka starts getting a mark on her body and starts turning into a monster then vanishes. In her world Yui started to bleed too. she was trying to get to the restricted part of the library, and trying to bring bach Miaka. When she was gone the real Miaka showed up on the ground, she was bleeding really bad. "She's lost too much blood." said Nuriko. Then Tamahome and Hoto-Hori try to give them their blood.

Then Nuriko bandaged Miaka. (luckily she missed her heart) Then Miaka woke up. Then when Miaka just woke up they were in a palace. Then they saw Tai-Yi-Jun. Then Tai-Yi-Jun put them in bubbles. She said "They will transport your blood to Miaka." When the blood went in Miaka her body felt very warm, and her wound healed. Then they went in a different room. Then Miaka sat in the middle. "You have to concentrate, concentrate on Miaka, and Miaka concentrate on your home." said Tai-Yi-Jun. Then Miaka went back home. In her world she was gone only 2 hours. In the other world she was gone for 3 months.
